Practicing yoga during pregnancy can help set a foundation for life-long health and happiness in a child. In this workshop you will learn yoga postures, breathing exercises and guided meditations to help you feel healthy, vibrant and abundant during your pregnancy. We will also include discussion on topics about prenatal care, mindful birthing and caring for a newborn. This is a great way to connect with other like-minded moms-to-be, share ideas, ask questions and potentially make lasting friendships for the babies!
About the instructor:
Toby Kumin has been teaching yoga in the Boston area since 2000. After several years of teaching a challenging vinyasa style, Toby discovered the joy of prenatal yoga during her own pregnancies and was fortunate to train in the ‘Khalsa Way’ with one of the premiere yoga teachers Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa in 2007. While caring for her own babies she developed a healthy post-natal practice to help rebuild core strength and maintain healthy posture. Toby discovered how great it felt to maintain her own wellness as well as the wonderful bond she experienced practicing yoga, massage and breathing with her own babies. Toby enjoys helping expecting and new moms through her uplifting style of pre and post natal yoga. In addition to her yoga training, Toby has studied various forms of massage including Thai Massage and Shiatsu.
Toby is grateful to all her teachers and everything she has learned through yoga but recognizes that her greatest education has come through parenting. She enjoys spending time with her family and discovering the ways her two boys open her mind and her heart.
