Yoga believes that aging is an honorable process. As we age
we gain a certain wisdom from the years we carry behind us.
In older age, free from work or many daily responsibilities,
we have more time to focus on our family, leisure and for
taking care of ourselves.
It is common for many people to have a negative outlook on
aging and often depression occurs. Boston Yoga teachers Toby
and Natalie like to encourage their elder students to embrace
this stage of life with acceptance. Everyone deserves to feel
good about how we can serve ourselves, our families and our
community by just having a postive outlook with gratitude
for all that we have lived through and seen throughout our
lifetime.

Yoga has developed a safe and effective program for seniors
or for anyone either in a wheel chair or with less mobility.
We have worked with individuals in their homes and also lead
group classes in nursing homes. Relaxing music, combined with
breathing exercises, visualizations and simple seated yoga
postures can make anyone feel great and elevate their mood.
